More than half a hundred BNP activists were arrested from Banani
Police arrested about 53 BNP leaders and activists from Banani in the capital. Banani police station and DB police arrested them around 1 pm on Sunday.

Around 11:30 am on Monday, BNP Deputy Office Secretary Taiful Islam Tipu and Chairperson's Press Wing Officer Shamsuddin Didar confirmed the arrest of Nayadigant.
According to sources, BNP leaders from different districts of the country were meeting at Banani Club (House No-109, Road No-01, Block-F, Banani) under Banani police station. They were arrested from there. The detained activists have been taken to the DB office.
